I knew this morning would be interesting when I awoke to a dense fog advisory. The mists swirled about me on my sojurn into work. I'm not sure I managed to capture it.

A new look

HDR Image of Illinois Capitol

A lot of my pictures are coming off my phone these days. It is certainly not an ideal camera, but it serves well and is always with me.  I found this new application that lets meet make HDR photos in situ.  Perhaps not the best at it, but a fun start.  I may invest in the more robust version later, but for now it is interesting.  Here is this morning's view of the capitol using this new application.  I love the way the details in the foreground are visible while the sky is a lovely deep blue.  For comparison, the stock shot is posted below.

Beautiful light

This morning the sunrise on the capitol was simply too beautiful. The orange tinted light combined with the moon hanging perfectly in the sky reminds me of why I love this time of the year.
